I hope this letter finds you enjoying this wonderfully hot and humid summer weather. And if hazy, hot, and humid isn’t your thing, then I trust you’re finding ways to stay cool. In any case, summer is starting to wind down, which means that EFS is starting to wind up.

Opening Day is fast approaching. Faculty and staff are hard at work preparing the classrooms and the building for the start of the school year. and we all look forward to welcoming the new and returning students. Please note the calendar for the start of the school year:

Wednesday, September 1: Welcome Day
12:30 - 1:15 p.m.:
Prep I (A-H) & Prep II (A - I) Orientation
1:30 - 2:15 p.m.: Prep I (I-Z) & Prep II (J-Z) Orientation
2:30 p.m.: All 5th grade students & all new student orientation

Thursday, September 2: Opening Day
8:20 a.m.:
Prep parent coffee in the dining room
Prep director Kathleen McIntyre will be on hand with tissues and tea/coffee to answer any questions and to help Prep parents through the drop-off process.

Monday, September 6: School Closed for Labor Day
